Gold and silver are traded on the markets. So are platinum, palladium, copper, zinc, wheat, corn, and all kinds of commodities. The prices change constantly during trading hours as traders buy & sell these. It's analogous to trading stocks on the stock markets, foreign exchange on the forex markets, etc. You can look up prices a lot of places, including Yahoo Finance, stockbrokerages, various gold trading outfits, etc. Most will have charts tracking prices over a period of time.

Gold coins typically sell for a premium over spot bullion, but again the prices are "set" by traders as they actively trade. When lots of people want Eagles, Kruggerands, etc, and supplies are tight, the premiums over spot bullion can increase sharply. Again, it's like trading other commodities. When the world is short of wheat and people want to eat, the price can jump quite sharply. When there is a bumper crop, prices drop.
References :
I agree with you for the most part, there is this one little bit of info you got wrong, or I just took it the wrong way. Clinton started Rendition, not Bush, it was set up as a way for us to get the info we want, with out getting our hands dirty. I think it is a pointless program, if you want some info, have the man pair to get it yourself.
References :
I hate to tell you this, but this has been going on for the past 30 to 40 years--okay?

The bottom line is this: The rich have won the class warfare game years ago, people are now working for poverty-level wages, and the powerful have CONTROL over what's happening to this country of ours.

At the flip of a switch, they can REJECT health care reform, cures for cancer, and minimum-wage increases.

At the flip of a switch, we can go to war for false premises and rigged intel, and squander away our nation's strength pissing away on the war on terror and never making so much as a DENT. (Like we did with the war on drugs.)

So am I surprised by what's happening now with our country?

Nope. It's just going to hell in a hand basket and the only thing left for our country to do is *fall* like the Roman Empire did 2,000 years ago--because it was morally decayed and corrupt just like we are right now.

And no amount of praying or complaining is going to change that.
References :
"There is danger in all men. The maxim of free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the Public Liberty". - John Adams (1772)
"Since the general civilization of mankind, I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of freedoms of the people by gradual and silent encroachment than by violent and sudden usurpation's." - James Madison (1778)

When Andrew Jackson was President he was once informed that the Supreme Court had ruled on of orders Unconstitutional he replied "They can rule what they like, let them try and enforce it", and did as he pleased, a principle Presidents have been employing ever since unless they had a strong enough Congress to stand up to them. The danger has always been there, as have been the Constitutional tools to contain it if our elected officials would but choose to use them. Power is derived from the people, but it is only retained by the people through active and informed citizens making their views known and enforcing them in the voting booth, no politician can cause problems after he's voted out. The problem is that the U.S. has become a country where less than half the eligible voters in any election even bother so to do which makes the kind of things described in the article inevitable. In the end a people only become slaves because they choose not to fight for their freedom, that the people of the U.S. have forgotten that is why we are in decline as a power. Spain was the dominant power in the 17th century, France in the 18th, Britain in the 19th, and the U.S. in the 20th, all became complacent and lazy and were replaced, why do people think we will be any different? The Pax Romana lasted ten centuries, the Pax Americana doesn't look good for one, kind of sad really, the '50s were both our greatest achievement and our downfall, people became convinced the free ride would last forever.
References :
Our democracy has ended with the collapse of real journalism. If people have no idea what is really going on, they can't fight against it. The tolerance of corruption within our House of representatives makes it obvious that corruption is expected rather than something to be defeated. People are so busy arguing about partisan politics that they can't even see what is happening before their eyes and it is the business of the media to keep that in the limelight.

We seem to think that as long as we can say any disgusting thing we want to without being arrested, we still have freedom of speech. I don't believe people see that the NWO is well underway. It is so in our faces that we are missing it. Globalization has led to world organizations making the laws and handling the money. Our sovereignty is shrinking constantly. Our policies are set by the WTO, the G8, the G20, the World Bank. Soon our criminal system will be changed to be in line with the World Court and yet people call this a ridiculous conspiracy. Its right in front of their faces and yet they deny it. Unbelievable.
References :
Its just anther con with an agenda. Make things up throw in some technical terms and the con base will spend lots of money buying. There's no reasons why the author came up with the conclusions he did just decided for himself that's what happened.Uses term like all intelligent political analyst, instead of using names because no one agrees with his statements. Its just like Rush said in his interview the other day of why he still does his show and he said for the money.Cons will spend good money for lie's and wrong Information its weird.
